Yvette Wilson, the actress in The Parkers/Moesha died of Cervical Cancer

She has been a lot of people’s favorite in the sitcoms THE PARKERS AND MOESHA, and she really made those sitcoms rock the screen to the extent that if you don’t know her, you definite;y haven’t seen those sitcoms.

She was Mo’Nique’s best friend in The Parkers. The actress and comedian died yesterday Thursday June 14th after losing her battle with Stage 4 Cervical Cancer. She was 48 years old.

It is definitely a painful death, especially looking at her age and mode of death, but her celebrated life just tells you how the cookie crumbles.

After a healthy career in music, Brandy headed to primetime and saw much success with her show Moesha. When Moesha ended, many of the stars and guest stars went on to further their careers…Usher and Mo-Nique for example. Then there were some stars that didn’t have much luck. In the recent years, four Moesha cast members have passed away and the star of it all, Brandy, was involved in a car accident that caused another driver to lose their life.

Yvette Wilson, who played Andell Wilkerson on Moesha, as well as the spin-off The Parkers, lost her battle with cervical cancer this week. Sadly her family couldn’t afford the treatment anymore.
